Turtle Tale
I'm proud to report that we were privileged enough to be able to save a turtle yesterday. It was clearly in some distress on the surface and on closer inspection we could see that it was caught in some fishing net which was cutting quite deeply into its flesh. Our crew and divers managed to get it onto the boat, cut the net away and release it back into the blue. And since one good turn deserves another, the guys were rewarded with a swim with a dolphin on the very next dive!

Underwater Photography
It's really warming up here as you can see from the above temperatures, and this includes the sea temperature which has risen 3 degrees in just a few weeks. Recent visitors have been having fun with our underwater cameras and achieving some impressive results, even on first attempts. The visibility here is excellent and this plus the generally gentle conditions lend themselves to this additional source of fun.

New Girl
A new instructor has just joined the team here at Aqua-Marina. Her name is Andrea and she is Swiss, speaking French, German, English and Spanish. Her diving career has so far taken her to Thailand, Philippines and Spain. She says she's very impressed with the diving here and we all hope she'll be very happy.

New Shop
We're really pleased to be able to announce the opening of our new shop directly above the dive centre. This makes it easier for you to find us as the shop is much more visible, and also allows us to supply you with items of kit you may need.; If you have any specific requirements, though, do email us in advance, so that we can be sure to get hold of the precise thing you'd like. Prices here are invariably cheaper than elsewhere due to the very low sales tax rate.

Sunfish Sighting
Well it seems that even when you've been diving for as long as Mike has (and that is a VERY long time....) you can still be totally wowed by what you see out there. What we're talking about here is a Mola mola, or sunfish, spotted at the weekend. We have two species of sunfish here - really striking looking disc-shaped creatures, growing to around 2 metres fin tip to fin tip. As they often float on their side on or near the surface, you don't even need to be in the water to see them, so keep your eyes peeled at all times!
